Imprinted Concrete Cleaning, Repairs, Colouring And Sealing

Probuild Surface Care are specialists in cleaning, colouring and sealing imprinted concrete surfaces like driveways and patios.

Imprinted concrete is sealed when first laid, which makes it a very durable surface, but left exposed to the elements, the original seal gradually wears away. If the concrete is not resealed every few years, the colour can fade and the surface can rapidly deteriorate, leading to several problems which can be expensive to repair.

We have specialist equipment for cleaning your imprinted concrete driveway, and we only use the highest quality concrete sealers and colour tints. Repair materials can also be applied to make the surface look as good as new and keep it protected for years to come.

Imprinted Concrete Cleaning

Prior to the application of any restoration material, the surface should be pressure cleaned and left to dry. We use a specialist power washer at low pressure on the surface of the pattern imprinted concrete, cleaning the driveway or patio of any dirt, debris and algae with soap and water. A combination of our high-quality products are used for oil stain removal, algae or any green buildup on the surface, and the removal of all the pollutants and residue from car tires and exhausts. Then, we use clean water to wash off the dirt and let it dry.

Imprinted Concrete Minor Repairs

We can repair any surface damage and cracks with a repair compound. This is a coloured powder which when mixed with
sealer becomes a fast-drying repair paste. If there are areas of exposed concrete, we can pre-treat them with a concentrated mix of sealer and colour tint. Once the damage is repaired and resealed, it’s barely noticeable.

Other common problems are surface whiteness and sealer delamination. Both of which can be rectified by applying sealer repair fluid and working it into the surface of the laminate until it becomes soft and tacky. This allows the original sealer to re-bond with the concrete. To rejuvenate the colour lost through sunlight and everyday use, we will use colour tints in the sealer.

Imprinted Concrete Driveway Sealer

It’s best to apply two coats of sealer with roughly two hours drying time between coats. An anti-slip additive can also be mixed into the topcoat. Allow to dry for 24 hours before driving on the surface.

The overall results can be absolutely superb and long-lasting. With an occasional top-up coat, the concrete will keep looking great for years to come.
